Our Application Process
APPLICATION PREPARATION:
Before beginning our thorough application process, we recommend that you gather all required documents and information, ensuring a smooth and efficient submission. Take the time to reflect not only on what you desire in a Tamaskan but also on how your family feels about welcoming one into your home. Consider your training approach, and how you plan to address various aspects of integrating a new dog into your family.
We are looking for individuals genuinely interested in forming a relationship with us and our dogs. It's not about a single answer but rather finding what is best for our dogs and meeting their specific needs. Your application should be comprehensive and honest, providing us with a deeper understanding of who you are beyond just a name and a few words on a page. Give the application your full attention to ensure the best results.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To streamline the process, collect the following information before attempting to complete the application:
References:
Three personal references
Veterinarian contact information
Landlord information (if applicable)
Photos:
Your family
Your pet(s)
Your yard and home
Your ID
Ensure photos are saved as an image file (jpg, png, tiff, etc) and follow the naming directions in the application to facilitate proper filing.
WAITLIST:
Rather than applying for specific puppies, we operate on a waiting list system. To secure a spot, submit an application, and upon acceptance, you'll have the opportunity to place a deposit. The waiting list is organized by deposit order, determining your place. We maintain a limit of ten (10) spaces to align with anticipated litter sizes.
If the waiting list is full, ideal applicants may opt into a notification list, providing them an opportunity if space becomes available.
LITTER CONFIRMATION:
Upon confirming pregnancy, we'll make a public announcement, allowing you to follow the progress online. Once a litter is born and stable, we'll contact individuals on the waiting list in order. Responding promptly is crucial for securing a puppy from the litter.
PUPPY ASSIGNMENTS:
We assign puppies to families based on our experience and evaluations. We encourage you to meet our dogs and visit puppies when safe. Between seven and eight weeks, we conduct temperament and structure evaluations, collaborating with professionals to determine the best match for each home.
While we take your preferences into consideration, families will not select their own puppy. We match each puppy to their new family to best fit the puppy's needs and family's lifestyle, goals and aspirations.
